Mia in Accra

 

 

 

Hello, my name is Mia Griffin and I am a first-semester senior majoring in Economics from Loudoun, Virginia. This semester, I am studying at the University of Ghana in Accra, Ghana. 

As I document my time abroad, I hope to highlight the rich culture that defines Ghana and also help dispel the oversimplification of African countries. Ghana is its own unique country with a diversity of locales to visit and activities to do. There are beautiful waterfalls and busy street markets alike. The city of Accra in particular contains a vibrant art and fashion scene, Michelin-starred restaurants, and many more experiences for the modern urbanite. I am excited to explore the diverse locales and activities available in Ghana, and I am looking forward to sharing these experiences with you this semester!
