Brian in Siena, Italy

Ciao, readers! My name is Brian, I’m a 2018 Black Studies major from Cape Cod, Massachusetts.This fall, I’ll be studying sustainability at the Siena School for Liberal Arts in Siena, Italy, in the hopes of learning a food anthropology framework to apply to the racialization of American food systems.   Hello everyone! My name is Ho Yean Choi, class of 2018 double majoring in Political Science and French. This fall I will attend l’Université Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne, looking forward to see the differences between discourses and pedagogy in Paris and that of Amherst. Salve! My name is Konso Mbakire. I am a Mathematics and Economics double major spending my sophomore spring in Rome with the IES Rome program. As an English major focusing on colonial literature, I chose to study in the United Kingdom in order to better understand the imperialism of the world’s largest empire in history and the culture of some of the greatest literature in the English language. At Amherst, I run for the varsity track (indoor and outdoor) and cross country teams. I am studying English and History at the University of Oxford through IFSA-Butler for the complete 2015-2016 academic year.
